my roles: Interaction Design, Visual Design
Users are added to collaboration spaces (think folders), which gives them permissions to collaborate on documents inside. Have a lot of spaces and you can see how difficult it is to maintain.
So, I designed how to create user groups, which you can add to spaces instead of adding users one by one.

Want to explore how it works?
I came to a design where user groups, like users themselves, have avatars. Instead of a standard icon, you can recognize user groups by your own pictures, and you can recognize at a glance who's inside a group.
I went beyond designing for the base requirements and found ways to improve the experience further. For example, you can also see where the group is used, helping you manage permissions across the account.
This gem for usability is how the space owner can add a user group to their spaces, then when teams change in the future make sweeping changes by simply editing the user group as teams change - no need to go in and out of spaces again and again.
I provided detailed interaction designs around adding, editing, archiving, and restoring users, keeping the experience clean and familiar to our existing users when managing spaces.
